Care Provider Solutions appointed to the AFC Licensing Advisory Council

Care Provider Solutions is excited to announce the appointment of Nadine Carlson, Co-Owner of Care Provider Solutions, to the Michigan Adult Foster Care Licensing Advisory Council, effective February 1.

Composed of 11 different representatives from State or Local agencies, resident representatives, AFC Providers, and private/public organizations, the group advises the department on the content and enforcement of the administrative rules related to adult foster care. It plays an important role in the successful delivery of AFC foster care home services for Michigan’s vulnerable adults.

What does that mean for you?

This appointment puts Care Provider Solutions in a position to help impact change to support Adult Foster Care Home Provider owners and the struggles and stress associated with running their businesses. Some of these include continuing to provide a voice regarding bills like HB4841 that can force AFCs to close and advocating for staff training that is accessible, quick, and efficient. The appointment can also impact changes to simplify and reduce confusion associated with meeting AFC licensed home rules.
